How did you meet your pet?
Through a rescue group, Fetching Companions. He had been turned in for reasons that became obvious after I had him for a couple of days, a little crazy and likes to bark, A LOT!

Your favorite thing about your pet?
Besides him being a little over the top sometimes, I love his enthusiasm for life and he’s lovable.

How does your pet enrich your life?
He is a great companion, he is very protective so he makes me feel safe at all times. He also gets me out of the house at least twice a day for walks, rain or shine, there’s no being lazy around Kelly.

If your pet could talk, what would they say?
Kelly's greatest passion is swimming, so I imagine if he could talk, the first thing he would say is, “Please, please, please can we get a pool in the backyard, PLEASE!!” Sorry buddy, not going to happen.

How did you meet your pet?
We adopted her from Simi Valley Missing Pets. They were looking for a home for a cute Pitbull/Lab puppy. They were a little off on the breed.

Your favorite thing about your pet?
She is always happy to see us when we get home.

How does your pet enrich your life?
She brings happiness and joy to our family...even when she tries to escape.

What crazy thing does your pet do?
She barks at NOTHING! She likes to run around the backyard like she is in a race for no apparent reason.

If your pet could talk, what would they say?
More spatchcock chicken please!

How did you meet your pet?
ChaCha came from a woman at the Orange County fair claiming she was “purebred”. Kopi was a Christmas Present.

Your favorite thing about your pet?
How they greet me when I walk in the door - they cry with joy! They are so smart. I love how loyal and affectionate they both are.

How does your pet enrich your life?
No matter how stressful or crazy life gets, their love and affection remains consistent. They are so silly that they make me laugh all the time.

What crazy thing does your pet do?
ChaCha plays dead when we say “bang bang”. Kopi does this weird thing with his head and looks at me upside down. He also cries when we put our shoes on because he thinks that means it’s time for a walk.

If your pet could talk, what would they say?
Feed us more chicken. Take us for more walks. Open the sliding glass door so we can chase the birds. Whatever you’re eating looks good, give us some.

How did you meet your pet?
Through my wife.

He's a lover.

How did you meet your pet?

Fern was rescued as a kitten from under an abandoned house. Dennis came from the Pasadena Humane Society.

Your favorite thing about your pet?
My cats have two personalities. Fern is like me. Dennis is like my son.

How does your pet enrich your life?
Dennis greets me every night when I get home. I see him running down the sidewalk when I drive up.

What crazy thing does your pet do?

Dennis is a hunter. We always have mice, birds and lizards brought in as “gifts”.

If your pet could talk, what would they say?
Fern - No, I cannot move off your lap. Dennis - Is it dinnertime?

How did you meet your pet?
I met Darla at Pet’s Delight in South Pasadena. I would pass by this pet store every day when M3 was on Fair Oaks. One day I decided to drop in on my lunch and there she was.

Your favorite thing about your pet?
Her curiosity.

How does your pet enrich your life?
She brings joy to my life.

What crazy thing does your pet do?
If unwatched, she will jump from dining chair to stool to kitchen counter and devour any food found. Except the fruit, that’s safe.

If your pet could talk, what would they say?
Feed me bacon and tell me I’m pretty.

How did you meet your pet?
I grew up with huskies in my life. So when we were ready to get one we found Leia. Out of all the puppies she stood out the most because she was the only puppy to not care we were there. She was hidden away sleeping while all the other puppies fought for our attention. We knew she was the one. A few months later we adopted Kovu from a shelter. He was a perfect fit. Leia and Kovu are inseparable and my life is forever changed because of them.

Your favorite thing about your pet?
I love their unique personalities. They are so different but they fit perfectly with my family. I can't imagine my life without them.

What crazy thing does your pet do?
They talk back. It's the funniest and cutest thing. They are very expressive dogs. So they are not shy about what they want. For example, if they want to go for a walk they will happily throw a fit until it happens. Once we are out the door they are so excited. They have to let the whole neighborhood know. Its a little embarrassing.

How did you meet your pet?
Picked her up from the breeder in Temecula at 2 months old.

Your favorite thing about your pet?
Quick learner, which can be a bad thing too. Whines like a dingo.

How does your pet enrich your life?
Having a job to do like getting something for you to throw for her or going on walks.

If your pet could talk, what would they say?
Throw the ball...throw the ball...throw the ball...SQUIRREL!!!!...throw the ball...throw the ball…

She wandered into our yard years ago.

The way she poses with her leg in the air.

She loves me unconditionally.

I hated rattlesnake school. I hated that I swallowed a fish hook. I hate that I have a bullet in my leg. I hate barbed wire. I love Dad more than Mom. Don’t leave KFC around because I’ll eat it and then the vet makes lots of money.
